2 COLLAGEN FACTS that are good to know:

1⃣ Collagen is a PROTEIN. It gives strength to skin.

2⃣ Collagen in a skincare product can NOT increase the collagen in your skin. This is biologically impossible. Collagen must be produced by the body.

Skincare ingredients can help by stimulating the production of collagen. Vitamin C, retinol/tretinoin, and peptides are examples.

If you see collagen in an ingredient list, and it says “hydrolyzed collagen” (means chopped up), it is there for a different purpose – to hydrate skin.

TIP – Eat your fruits & veggies! It’s one of the easiest ways to build healthy, strong skin. Many fruits & veggies contain Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is actually *required* for collagen production. If you’re lacking in Vitamin C, it’ll show in your skin. Besides wrinkling more easily, skin and blood vessels will be more fragile.
