Oops, I forgot to clean this. Do you see the crud around the opening? This serum is normally a clear, pale yellow liquid. But the crud is brown.

This is a classic example of serum that has oxidized. The antioxidants in it break down in the presence of light or oxygen, and the color turns brown. That’s why it’s a good idea to store your serums in a dark area (cool and dry too).

I usually wipe the tip with a tissue after each use (or every few days). But clearly, somebody has been absent-minded! 🙂
