Finally found the perfect lip balm – Suvana Beauty’s Paw Paw & Honey Balm. I absolutely love it. It’s now my favorite lip balm.

It’s very emollient and spreads over the lip easily. Most importantly, it absorbs into the lip without leaving a waxy residue (that feeling you get from the ‘chap stick’ kind). My lips feel moisturized for a long time afterward.

The texture is exactly what I want. A semi-hard balm. Not a cream (I don’t like this type since it generally doesn’t absorb well or feel emollient enough to me). This one is soft enough to spread easily. The Rodin balm I showed the other day is a hard solid – you have to work at both scooping it out and working it into skin. Nothing wrong with harder solids, but a softer texture saves time.

I also like that it doesn’t leave an artificial shine or have a strong scent. It comes in a tube. So it’s easy to carry, whip out, and apply when you need it without having to wash your hands first.

And it’s totally affordable! $4 for this 0.25 oz (7 g) size. Also comes in a larger size for body.

TIP – I squeeze this onto my (clean) finger and apply with my finger rather than put the tube directly on my lip. It’s more hygienic that way.

From time to time, wipe the tip of a tube with tissue. Even better, swipe with alcohol to disinfect.
