Here are ways to organize skincare samples.

For larger deluxe-sized samples, buy some small plastic boxes or tupperware containers, and nest them into a large box. Or save old large jars.

Rectangular boxes are better than circular ones, as they give you more space and are easier to arrange. The larger boxes shown here came from The Container Store.

Old jars are great for holding small tubes or bottles upright. So you can see them better when you need to grab one.

I place small tubes in small boxes, which are organized by category – eye creams in one, serums in another, etc. They’re also good for holding opened packets.

And here’s a way to store skincare foil sample packets:

Box for Storing Skincare SamplesTo make it easier to find them, I store them in trays like this. This plastic box from The Container Store comes with 4 plastic dividers, which conveniently creates 5 rows. The dividers can be removed too. The labels are made of cardboard and colorful post-it stickers, which make them easier to spot.

My samples are organized by category, e.g. Cleansers, Serums, Moisturizers, etc. Within each category, they are alphabetized by brand. That way, when I need to find something, I can flip through them quickly. I use other categorization methods too (e.g. by skin type, ingredients, sub-categories). But alphabetical is simplest.

Container Store has smaller boxes too, and some varieties have dividers whose width you can adjust.

And here’s how you can turn full-size bottles into travel-sizes:

Mini Spray Bottles for Perfume + SamplesThese colorful tubes are mini sprayers for my samples and perfume, also from The Container Store. I love how small and light they are. They fit easily in a purse, pocket, or bag. You can also put toner, hair spray, or mouthwash in them for travel.

I use them for sample packets containing loose liquids. (They’re messy to use more than once.) So I pour them into these small vials.
