Treatments for body acne and sun damage on the decollete don’t get much attention. So today, I’ll show a few body treatments that help with either problem.

M2 Skin Body Refinish 15% – An exfoliating lotion with Mandelic Acid and Malic Acid. There are many body scrubs and exfoliants, but very few that can do more than just exfoliate. I like this for the decollete because it brightens while making skin smooth. So it addresses two of the main signs of sun damage on the decollete (brown spots, rough skin).

Mandelic Acid is a gentle AHA that is also antibacterial. So it’s a great choice for acne and keeping pores clear.

The M2 Skin line specializes in Mandelic acid. It’s a great line that is under-rated and falls under the radar because it is a small, clinical line. All of the products are reasonably priced (under $50).

Glytone Exfoliating Body Wash – Exfoliating with a body wash is helpful if you have body acne, dry & flaky skin, bumps on your skin, or keratotic skin conditions (eg. keratosis pilaris).

Glytone specializes in Glycolic Acid. Note: Glycolic is an effective AHA but can be irritating. If it is for you, choose Mandelic acid.

Image Skincare Prevention 45+ Sunscreen – There are a gazillion sunscreens. So what’s special about this one? It’s a spray sunscreen with Zinc Oxide (not Avobenzone, which you typically see in sprays). We’ll be seeing more.

A spray is an easy way to touch up if you’re in the sun and don’t want the messiness of applying sunscreen with your hands.

Mio Double Buff Dual Action Enzyme Exfoliator – An enzyme exfoliator for the body. A classic scrub that you massage over skin and rinse off. Gentle.

If You Have Chest Acne Or Body Acne

To minimize breakouts on your body, use exfoliating cleansers and lotions. Avoid loofahs, brushes, or washcloths. They’re too abrasive for active breakouts and may make them worse.
