This week’s anti-aging night routine. The serums featured here are also good for acne, rosacea, and sensitive skin.

1. Revision Skincare Revox II Peptide Serum – My spot treatment for expression lines (eleven’s and forehead lines). A staple in my routine. No matter what else is on rotation, I always use this at least once a day.

2. iS Clinical Pro Heal Serum – A Vitamin C serum for the whole face. Excellent for rosacea or acne (unlike many other Vit C serums, it’s healing, rather than stimulating). 15% L-ascorbic acid, time-released and continuous delivery. Liposome encapsulated for stability.

WARNING: Ascorbic acid MUST be stabilized, or else it’s extremely unstable and degrades rapidly (harming instead of helping skin!). Most serums using this form of Vitamin C are not properly formulated. You won’t know this unless the manufacturer explicitly states it, or you ask the company. Always ask (if possible)! It’s a hassle to find out, but worth the trouble.

If you see Ascorbic acid in a drugstore or grocery store product, chances are it’s NOT stabilized. Best place to look is in professional or clinical retail lines. It takes a lot more sophistication and cost to do it right.

I alternate this serum with Active Serum (next).

3. iS Clinical Active Serum – A multi-functional fruit acid (AHA) serum that tackles acne, pigmentation, and rough surface texture. Terrific radiance booster. This is great for all skin types, especially if you have clogged pores or acne.

I don’t have acne, but on me the effect is a major glow. Much more so than from other comparable exfoliating serums. It’s the best-seller in the line for a good reason.

I use this every few days. Daily is too much for my thin skin type, but it would be ok if you have oily, thick, or rough skin.

4. iS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum – A low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid serum. Lower weight is better – better penetration into the dermis. (Even better is HA in multiple weights.)

This serum is cooling and soothing, so excellent for calming acneic or sensitive skin. Also makes a good after-shave serum. If you’re a man and suffer from razor bumps or irritated skin, this will both hydrate and soothe your skin.

Goes on after Active Serum (or the Pro Heal).

5. Lira Clinical BIO Lift Creme – A lifting and firming cream that I like to use on my lower cheeks. I am obsessed with future sagging of this area. (A little big of slackness is starting to show!) So lately, I’ve started using lifting, firming, and tightening products for prevention of jowls.

You can’t see it, but this cream is packaged in an airless pump jar. Thank you Lira! Wish more companies would do this.
